LedgerLine Multi-Entity (US)
One of the most powerful ways to run up to 10 businesses from a single spreadsheet. One set of books, entity types from Schedule C to S-corp, no monthly subscription.
What it is
A complete system for several businesses, one owner
LedgerLine Multi-Entity (US) is a complete bookkeeping system for people who run more than one venture: a ranch with a few income streams, a family group with rentals and a trade, an owner juggling an LLC and a couple of side businesses. Record income and expenses once, tag each line to a business, and the workbook splits everything out by entity automatically.
Per-entity and side-by-side profit dashboards, a quarterly Tax Summary with a 1040-ES set-aside guide, sales tax tracking with editable state rates, and an annual summary organised against the form each entity type files. Live charts update as you type.
Best of all it is a one-off purchase, not another monthly subscription. You own it outright, with no ongoing fees and no per-entity charges, a fraction of what you would pay over a year for QuickBooks per company.

Who it is for
Built for American owners with more than one iron in the fire
- ✓Ranchers and farmers running cattle, hay, agistment and farm-stay income side by side
- ✓Family groups with rentals alongside a trade or consulting business
- ✓An LLC owner with a couple of DBAs who wants one set of books, not three subscriptions
- ✓Anyone who has outgrown a single sole-proprietor template but does not want QuickBooks for each venture
The difference
Why this workbook beats the others
One workbook, several ventures
Record income and expenses once, tag each line to a business, and the workbook splits everything out by entity automatically, with per-entity and combined dashboards.
Entity types handled properly
Flag each venture as a Schedule C sole proprietorship, a 1065 partnership, an 1120-S S-corp, an 1120 C-corp or an LLC, and the Annual Tax Prep Summary organises the year-end figures against the right form.
Sales tax, without hard-coded rates
Sales tax rates vary by state and change over time, so the rates are editable and clearly labelled. Enter the rate that applies to you and the workbook does the arithmetic.
Quarterly estimated taxes, guided
The Tax Summary shows quarterly net income across the group, with an editable set-aside percentage (a rule-of-thumb default of 25%) to guide your 1040-ES estimated payments.
Live formulas, no macros
Everything calculates the moment you open it. No macro warnings, no security prompts, nothing to enable.
Income split kept simple
Each entity carries a primary income / other income split, so mixed operations stay readable at tax time.
How it works
Five simple habits
- 1
Open the Setup tab, name your entities and pick each one's entity type (about 10 minutes).
- 2
Record income and expenses as they happen, tagging each line to an entity.
- 3
Once a month, reconcile the bank and glance at the dashboards.
- 4
Once a quarter, use the Tax Summary to guide your 1040-ES estimated payment.
- 5
Once a year, hand the Annual Tax Prep Summary to your CPA or use it to prepare your returns.

Questions
Frequently asked
How many businesses can I track?
Up to 10 ventures in the one workbook. You name them on the Setup tab and flag which are active; inactive slots are hidden from the dashboards.
Which entity types does it support?
Schedule C sole proprietorships, 1065 partnerships, 1120-S S-corps, 1120 C-corps and LLCs. Each venture is flagged with its type, and the year-end summary organises figures accordingly.
Does it calculate my income tax?
No. It organises your books and shows quarterly net income with an editable set-aside guide for estimated payments. Your tax return is between you, your CPA and the IRS.
Does it handle sales tax?
Yes, with editable rates. Because sales tax varies by state and city, no rate is hard-coded; you enter the rates that apply to you and the workbook applies them per transaction.
Will this work in Excel and Google Sheets?
It is built and tested for Microsoft Excel 2016 or newer, Windows or Mac, and Excel for the web. It will open in Google Sheets, though Excel is the tested and recommended environment.
Are there macros?
No. Everything is live formulas, so it calculates the moment you open it.
I only run one business. Should I buy this?
Probably not. The Sole Proprietor edition is simpler and cheaper. Buy Multi-Entity when you run two or more ventures.
