For Australian households
LedgerLine Simple Budget
A clean, one-page monthly budget that fits on a single A4 sheet. Print it and fill it in by hand, or type into it and let the totals add up for you. Perfect for the fridge, a folder, or a quick monthly reset.
The difference
What makes it different
Made to print
It is set up for A4 and fits on exactly one page, so it prints clean every time with no fiddling with margins or scaling.
Works on paper or on screen
Print it blank and write in your numbers, or open it in Excel or Google Sheets and the totals and money left over calculate themselves.
Australian by default
The expense list reflects real Australian life: rent or mortgage, groceries, petrol, electricity, water, private health, childcare, and more. Blank lines let you add your own.
One clear answer
Income, expenses, and money set aside add up to a single number: your money left over for the month.
On brand and tidy
The clean LedgerLine layout looks good on the wall and reads at a glance.
Nothing to trip you up
Plain .xlsx, no macros, no add-ons. Opens in free Excel or free Google Sheets, on Windows, Mac, phones and tablets.
How it works
Use it your way
- 1
To print: open the file and print. It is already sized for one A4 page. Fill in the yellow boxes by hand.
- 2
To use on screen: type your amounts into the yellow cells. Total income, total expenses, total set aside, and money left over update automatically.
- 3
To make it yours: type over any label, or use the blank lines to add your own items.
Questions
Frequently asked
Is this the same as the full LedgerLine Budget?
No. This is the one-page version: a single A4 sheet for a quick monthly snapshot. The full LedgerLine Budget workbook adds the transactions register, the auto dashboard, the 50/30/20 view and year-round detail. They pair well together.
Can I use it on paper only?
Yes. Print it blank and fill in the yellow boxes by hand. The included PDF is print-ready.
Can I change the categories?
Yes. Type over any label, or use the blank lines to add your own items.
Are there macros?
No. It is a plain .xlsx with live totals and nothing to enable.
